These pods doesn't know which way is up. Not sure why its pointing towards the right. Thank you Dennis for finding the name of this tree "Silk-Oak Tree". A perfect match. Aloha and thank you for viewing
ps: From Dennis....It looks like it might be a silk-oak, Proteacea Grevillea. I found some pictures in this gallery at webshots: http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/550371304fdPHFu

This shot is so cool, there is sooo much to look at and such pleasing colors!!!!
Happy to help, Errol. I think they heard you coming, and they're trying to find the camera so they can pose. Or maybe not. I love the narrow DOF in this sea of yellow. Well done.
Thats just an amazing shot, such wonderful focus and DOF.
Super macro and lovely details and colours. Big work
I have seen these somewhere before. Nice capture, especially focusing on the pods. Aloha

This is a very cool and different picture, certainly different from your hot lava, I like it very much Have a nice day Henk
Perfect and very beautiful! Aloha my friend!
nice shot! maybe they are facing the sun? or there is a prevailing wind in that direction? Nice use of dof to pick out the subject and an interesting image :)
Oh, so beautiful picture and excellent color and pov !! Good day :)
That is so very alien looking. Another great nature close-up Errol.
That is one great macro shot. Bravo!
Alien plants..:) really a neat image...
An amazing plant and an equally amazing capture.
Interesting, can't decide whether it looks more like alien pods or underwater plant life. Maybe they're pointing where the sun rises?
is not nature awesome in all it's varieties? outstanding macro Errol
Very cool look at them. :)
Interesting and original macro!
Once again the mysteries of nature reveiled. Beautiful macro.
THe interaction between the focal point and that of what lies in the disant is a wonderful balance, all of which is added by perfect lighting. Well done my friend. Thank you for sharing. egmont
A beautiful capture, interesting subject!
Man, if that doesn't look extraterrestrial I don't know what does! Invasion of the Body Snatchers! Looks like loops of pasta at the bottom. The pods, which resemble miniature avocados, are apparently directing their antennae towards whatever is in their interest. Incidentally, a plant usually grows towards the sun or some other source of light. Wonderful macro of this plant, or whatever.
Excellent capture, so stunning render! Thang you for sharing, Lior
love the close up and the colors looks super
Maybe it's another plant that points the traveler in the right direction??? I think so!! like the traveler's palm? Anyway, go west young man!!!!! Aloha...
