I thought this was a neat picture for Earth Day. To me it sort of seems like the idea to keep yourself rooted in the earth, in the idea of simply BEING on this planet. Leaving your mark somewhere, not harming anything, but just saying that you were there and that the place you touched was special.
If we kept ourselves connected to the earth - by soul and mind, if not by body - there would be no need for Earth Day, I think.
