I know why I am a poet
I have to be
It sets me free
Lets me fly
lets me pour my blood
Onto the paper
Drop by drop
To open my soul
For the whole world to see
It lets me tell you
How much I love you
How much I hate you
And it helps me
Figure out the difference
Between the two
When the pen is in my hand
The world is mine
I can create it
Or destroy it
With a flick of the wrist
If I couldn
