Description
A giant city on the inside of a torus.
I had planned to add more, but got stuck on this test render. About 100 hours (since last Thursday) required to render this one at 2200x1400. No IBL this time, it's the glass that costs time, but the reflections are so nice.
I'll think about adding more, later. I had thought of suspended habitat modules, something more going on in the cavernous space. Trees and lights under all the domes.

Nice. But I did't liked the "no soft" shadows on the ceiling.
Jim; This is awesome! Makes me want to have some tea with the aliens!
Great scenery, marvelously aligned. It should be very beautiful the popularization of trees and constructions in the interior. It would be interesting to see that. Congratulations.
Your right....the reflections are really nice...and the lines create an interesting visual too.
This is going to be one of my all-time favorite creations. An insipiring challenge as I try to re-create what you have done! This is fantastic!
Wow!!! Fantastic and amazing composition!!! Outstanding work!!!
WOW Avesome work, love the colors and the idea!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting composition - though abstract, it's got nice depth...
fantastic composition and detailed pieces - pov is also very convincing inside of this huge hall !
Long render times for these images!
HaHa, welcome to my world! Some of my scenes take weeks of processor time to render. The electric bill really takes a hit. Fun stuff though!
The Japanese quark detector! It needs the divers floating in space to complete the scene. Hunnert hours for a test render? It's easier to catch a quark.
Among your best I think, certainly the surfaces (how do you guys manage to post each day a new image?)
great image
Amazing modeling and render Jim!!!Bravo!!!
I like the colours and shapes in this.
WOW I love these abstracted environments
