Description
This is one of those pictures that turned out much differently than originally conceived. I had intended to add a house and snow-covered trees bushes and fences. However, once I saw it with just the road and the Toyota Landcruiser model it seemed complete. I just ended up adding some snow and mud spray around the wheels. (I did see if I could add swirling snow and nothing looked good or really like much other than falling mud.) So I left it as you see it. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to "see" the haze as caused by falling snow. There is a lot more to the spray than you might think. Each wheel has six water spray objects. It took almost 30 hours to plop render just them. The rest of the picture just took a few minutes. I'm very pleased with this one.
Thanks for looking and for any comments.
Jeremy

This is an excellent scene. Beautifully realized. Looks particularly cold and desolate!
Very cool atmosphere! you did it just right I must say! and the splashing of the snow is perfect!
Great atmosphere - I love it!
This is a really cool (sorry, no pun intended) winter scene! You were right to leave the scene minimal I think.
Simply fantastic! What a clever way this turned out. I have such trouble getting convincing looking cars in my images...yours is excellent!
very original work and excellent Bryce. I have an FJ Cruiser 07
i think your decision to leave this just as it is was totally correct! this is perfect in my opinion as it gives a real feel of isolation! the snow is awesome and a superb sense of motion!! really excellent image ;o))
Thanks for all the affirming comments, my friends. I like it because I feel it really captures that kind of day or moment when it seems like the entire world is reduced to just you, the vehicle, and a few feet around you.
Beautiful, looks like a water colour.
