Description
This is another small example of how the logging companies are denuding our state's forests. I used to love the drive between Eugene and Florence, Oregon, along Highway 126. This is what it now looks like for most of the trip.

Do they not replant or reseed the areas they have logged out? It is sad to see this. Nice capture of it!!!
terrible shame- but we all use the products from these trees everyday, do they revegitate the land ?
It is such a sad sight! We declare so many places National treasures, perhaps we should declare a few National Travesties, and declare them off limits for a thousand years unless whoever is there is planting. BJ
very interesting land !!! :)
When the logging companies actually do re-plant, the replant with fast-growing, fir or pine, and NEVER restore the actual diversity of the forest. This is the best reason for mandating "selective harvesting" rather than "clear-cut." The land becomes a patchwork of "industrial tree farms," instead of a forest.
It is very sad, and can be prevented!!!! good photo
Very interesting...
