Description
This Blue-Ribbon can dates to an era when people still generally used a "Church Key" to get at their brew. Only the top is made of aluminum, the rest is steel. Brenda pointed out that the seam being double thickness is why that part has survived this long. I suppose it's a moot point now; the can has finally found its way to a dumpster, and from there it will journey to its final resting place.
(btw, we love our new cam!)
Have a Great weekend and
Thanks for Looking!

I think just about anything would look good up against that rock surface. The colors are great bunny. If we pick up all the trash, there won't be any cool stuff for people to look at........... But someone has to do it. Cool shot.
Beauty is Truly in the eye of the beholder! ;^)
very funny! well done.....!!!
Awesome photo, proving yet again that done right, almost anything can be artistic!
I remember that beer. Think it out of businisse too. the top you could have save for a reminder of that era.
really pops from the backgd! ..use to enjoy stringing those tops from corner to corner of the ceiling ;)
Hey, nice find! :-) better if it was newer, on ice and in my hand. :-) Nice shot.
Nice Detail! Another Great Capture!!
Fantastic details and light on your shot. Excellenty done!!
Damn' kool time-capsule, your new camera takes a very crisp shot ! great stuff bro' ! ~Cheers~
So beautiful picture on this texture and excellent composition and color !!! :)
Fantastic find and snapshot! What I'm amazed at is that many people must have walked by this can over decades and yet not one stopped to pick it up. I would have. I'm so tired that people think the world is one big garbage can and they can toss their garbage wherever they feel. Gee, let's go hiking in the beautiful and pristine woods. There aren't any anymore...there's gabage everywhere. I'm proud that none of it is mine. Thanks for the profound imagery!
Modern times relic if you want, excellent detailed photography, good job for the textures you managed to put in relief...
Very interesting shot - one with a real story to tell!
Excellent, love the texture and colour!
Yes I remember it, nasty tasting beer it was. Good riddance I say! Great bit of history.
Yup, great capture of an interesting find. Them old steel cans were hefty, to be sure. Looks like it was an old "pop top" type. Gotta take issue with dcatwell, though. I think PBR is still around and palatable. Now Blatz was nasty!
