Description

The day before was sunny and warm, so Vicky decided to lay out in the sun. Unfortunately, a surprise late-winter snow overnight foiled her plans, at least for the time being. I'm taking another stab at creating a realistic composite that could fool even the "trained eye." (At least for a moment, since we all know what Victoria looks like.) My last attempt was kind of a bust, due in part to overly complex lighting. This time, I decided to try something simpler. Maybe it's a little more convincing...?

I know the rapidly changing weather all too well. Tuesday, it hit the upper 60's, maybe even 70. People were out in shorts, t-shirts and only the patches of dirty snow remaining belied the fact that it's still winter (with plenty to come yet). The following day, it was in the 30's and snowing again. At first glance, I was fooled. The hair doesn't really give it away to me, but the feet do - particularly the shadows. But had you not spoiled it, I might not have bothered to look for any clues that this wasn't a straight photo.

I would have to concur w/ Revelations there.. The Hair looks really good.. What tipped me off first, what her but.. Her Bikini bottoms seem to look Flat and to well shaded.. Then her feet/toes.... but awesome job.. man...

Very good! Only the shadows around the feet revealed it.

Very convincing image! I was wondering myself, until the feet tipped me off as well.

this had me fooled until I looked at the feet, though I couldn't tell you how to correct it.

Nice composite. If I hadn't looked I wouldn't have noticed anything wrong. The thing that gives it away for me is something that all poser clothing and model interactions have: there needs to be some deformations of the skin where the tight straps fit. This should have been fixed when they added magnets to Vicky's clothing. Perhaps some sort of reverse magnets that deform Vicky as well as help to fit the clothing. In any other 3d package I wouldn't complain, but Poser is supposed to be good at this.
