Description
The Muntz 8 track seems to have fans so I moved victoria over to the side where it was installed in the glove box of my pickup. It was all transistor including the power supply and this was long before 10 amp or even 5 amp FET. About 6 watts of power as I remember to the two 8 ohm speakers installed in the bottom of each door. This gave adaquate, even loud, volume for the small cab but may have been weak in a passenger car. The blue object on the glove box door is the cartridge. It could not be rewound or recorded on and had a continuous loop of tape. It was standard 1/2 inch tape. The cartridge just stuck into the hole in the front of the player and a roller at the back right of the cartridge held the tape against a drive roller in the player. It had volume and balance controls and an eject button. That is it in the lower right hand corner of the open glove box.
