Description
Today, I did solo walk to the lava fields as I was unable to contact Brave Terry. It is not recommended to walk alone. Last week, a guy was lost for 2 days in the lava field. He was lucky. Last month, they carried a young girl student out of the lava field. When they got back, I told the tour guide to wipe her down with a cool wet rag (bring her body temperature down). I also suggested that they take her to the hospital. Today, the same tour company was out in the lava field. I asked their guide about that young girl. They said she was ok. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Sounds like they had a close call. I can see the fascination of those lava fields. Great shot!

Looking your shots and what info you giving with it makes me think why You not one of the tour guide. Sure they would be more safer with You! Great shot like a nose a deamon....woooahhhh! Sorry I can not help it...LOL
Really spectacoular lava fields...bravissimo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
A wonderful capture! It looks like its poking its tongue out at you... You have some VERY wise words about the dangers of places like this... Well done mate!
Like Shucoda I see a molten tongue... what is the earth trying to tell us? lol I am glad you are safe. Have a wonderful week~ =)
Lost for two days? Wow. Be careful please when you go there. The 'molten tongue' is a "cool" shot. :)
WOW! What a shot! You know those Lava fields are so dangerous right? The LAVA can jump/pop from under the ground in no time and reason! Love the shot and the centered piece of LAVA [Nose] looks just fine! Hummm...Did you try to look for real big pieces of DIAMONDS! :D Thank you for the post and sharing your art my friend and have a nice day/night JOE
Wow thats some shot, and I would never go in those fields on my own.

Looks as if this lava is taunting you by sticking out its tongue! good moment, excellent capture.
OMG... a tongue ! Tasting the terrain before it pours. Fantastic Errol !
An orange red hot tongue, wowwwwwww what a capture from this "challenging" area Excelent piece of "liquid lava art"!! Have a nice evening Henk
Sorry to hear the tour guides were not being as responsible as they could! You said it yourself, its not good to go lava strolling without your lava buddy! Great shot...[=
Now we know what you're planning to do when you quit the day job!!!!!!! It's a perfect job for you, who knows this place better????? AND, you could sell your lava photo book to all the tourists too!!!!!! Sounds like a great retirement idea Errol????? I wish I had a good one like that!?!??? Very cool tongue shot!!!!! Aloha...
So impressiv!!!!!
I can see, I know.. you know this place well. A superb shot of the nose!! Sniff! So soooorrryy for being silly :-)) Keep safe , Errol. We need you here. Aloha. Diane.
Looks like some very thick lava...it must have come quite aways to be in this state...always a pleasure to see your lava walks! AloooooooooHa~
Very impressive photo!!! Kinda looks like a salimandor coming out from under a rock. Very cool.
Oh yes, so beautiful picture on this lava texture and very nice color and composition !!! :)
Dear Errol, I'm glad she was OK!!! It could be a heck of a lot worse!! I'd be fraid not only of getting lost, but of falling into a lava tunnel or something. I too think you would make a great guide! Not only for your knowledge, but also because of your love for the place!! That always shows through!! Hmmm - do you have cell hone service there? Some places get blocked because ofthe terrain - like in Bryce Canyon. You can call from the road, but if you start down a trail there is too much rock around you. If the cell phone works, at least folks could call for help. And if the phone has a GPS built in, they could be found pretty easy! And yes - I've used mine that way before - "Hello - could you tell we where I am?? I'm blond!!" It works everytime!!!! Super capture!!! The red looks hot, but I'll bet the "gray crusted" areas are pretty toasty, too!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
I happy she is ok. and you too lol. very good shot
Amazing what this Earth can do! Glad the young lady was OK. BJ
