Description
Hiya! Thanks for stopping by. This image is the first real render I ever made. It was back in 1998 or 1999, I can't exactly remember but I do remember this image popping out after rendering a day or so on my massive Pentium I or something like that! lol. I think the program I used was called Simply 3D. I'm not positive though. I'm putting this in the Poser gallery cuz there is no Simply 3D anymore, or whatever it was called. I remember using a picture from the Sistine Chapel as the texture and then adding some presets of specularity and a bunch of other things I had no clue what they meant. This AMAZING orb resulted (hehe) and I was hooked on 3D forever.
I think I lost my virginity that day!!!
We all have a story like that, don't we? I'd love to hear yours. So instead of telling me how great my "orb" is, please tell me your story of your very first experience with 3-D. I'd soooo love to hear it. Woo hoo for 3-D. :)

It amazing!!! A very good one for a start!! Can't wait to see your second one!!!;)
:-) Fab orb!. Some of us were just destined to get hooked! I got led astray by Spiritfoxy and Lyric. I got hooked on their renders first ..for a long time I resisted trying my own. LOL..living proof that resistance is futile!!!
That was an ambitious render for your very first one! I'm embarrased to say that it took me 6 months before I managed to get a render done and that was only with the help of a kind soul over at Daz who walked me through adding a figure, adding clothing, adding hair, applying a pose and lights. And my render was no where near as nice as yours. Bravo!
Very nice
Oh, by the way, those of you sweet enough to look at my image but missed my comments, and still told me how wonderful my orb is, thank you. Really, I appreciate it even now. Plus I know a lot of people do not speak English here at Renderosity. Still, I hope I hear a lot of stories!!!
great render...reminds me of something Pink Floyd would do for a cover shot!
When someone installed the software on my old computer they gave me a copy of Poser 3 (i think) After making a crappy animation of stick man falling down the stairs, i got bored and didn't try it again until a few years later when someone told me about Rendo and i saw what Poser was really capable of. Then i got hooked! Cool orb btw!
My first was a naked lady because I couldnt figure out how to conform clothing LOL .The lighitng was bad and so was the tex.But first posted came out pretty cool.
For a first one it is amazing...bravo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
Got poser 4 about three years ago because i wanted to draw girls and have something to reference from without using photographs or other art...i don't draw, poser sucked me in! LOL
A wonderful orb! The coloring is fantastic. It is fun to go back and look at our first renders and see the difference in work then and now. I started out in Bryce eons ago and then went to Daz. Have poser, but really haven't done anything it.
Very Beautiful!!
