Description
Who were our ancestors? What were they like?
This scene was done for Kare's Maiden In Lost Land contest.
When I first had an idea for this theme, I was thinking of a maiden being held captive by someone in a lost land. As the scene developed and took shape, that idea changed to a maiden in awe of this tribal person...then continued to change to this gal in wonderment of the ancient ancestors of a lost time, in a lost land.

Excellent atmosphere. This is fantastic and I like the little history of the people in the image. Outstanding realization and composition. Beautiful work. HUGS Maria
