Description
Rich2 has been a very good inspiration to me in many ways, and I asked him a week or so ago if he could turn me on to some Tuts that he learned from and he shot me a link to start with, WOO HOO thankies Rich2. So this and a few more are dedicated to my Brother Rich for getting me going in the right direction as well with TG2.
I have been working with the texture part of Tg2 as well, and there is very little Docs on that area ATM, but I have been figuring some of this all out, and I am about to maybe do a Tut on Textures maybe next week on my website if I get the time to help return the favor to my friends that have helped me.

Excellent surface !!!!
I like this texture and the composition in this work, it's like a real photo and it's for that I like this progtam Terragen. i cannot help you because I don't practice it but, for me, a simple photographer, I like ;) Good day :)))
awesome work!! -- looks like there is strata and fake stones -- but i could be wrong about the stones!! awesome lighting!!
Mosat Excellent rockface texture, Great Job!!!
Belle image, je suppose que tu as utilisun "image map shader" ce qui n'enle rien la structure du terrain !!
Hi, looks like a promising image! Very nice surface !
My french is way worse then your english Phylloxera, but if I get your drift? yes, I am using a "Image map shader" in Terragen 2, but do not use them in the terrain area, use them and bring them in the Shader area, you get better results. I am still working it all out, and I am still having trouble getting it all figured out, but I am getting there /smiles...Once I get it all figured out, I will do a Texture Tutorial for TG2, but I am still working on it and no eta yet on the Tut, 1-2 weeks if I have the time.
Great rocks !!
Excellent rock render !
That is a very good rock surface. Did you use the fake stones shader at all? Surfacing is usually my weak point, so I would love to improve in that area.
Dude - those surfaces are AMAZING! Don't credit me too much, though - Ryan (aka MeltingIce) is the genius behind the tutorials.
Hay you 2 both MeltingIce and Rich2 /smiles, WOW I am honored Melt /bows, I am working with your Tuts now. /smiles.... To answer your questions: MeltingIce & Rich2: no I have not had time yet to do the fake stone Tut yet I am sorry to say. What I did was make a 4096X4096 .bmp map and brought it in under the shader tab, since if you do it in the terrain area it seems I think to go right through the camera and that is not what I wanted with this /winks. I took the photo of the rock Texture and the one I will post tomorrow. As soon as I get the texture stuff all figured out, I will return the favor and do a small Texture tut for TG2. I have not figured out how to tile the graphics at 256, or 512 yet, and what I have done I do not like, also I am working on how the mapping in the texture does work, as there seem to be features I have not gotten to work yet. Or I crash to desktop real fast /chuckles...... Your Tut's MeltingIce are fantastic and have helped me a lot, thanks so much, and I just found another one of yours /winks I plan to get into later today. Thank you 2 so much for stopping by /smiles......
