Description
Taken at the nature reserve near my house, there must have been hundreds of these butterlies there. They are a really pretty yellow on the top side of their wings but everytime they land they close them so that you cant see :-( Anyway this was the best shot I was able to get. I have to go do some studying...story of my life these days, I will take a look through the gallery this evening. Thank you for your much appreciated comments, have a wonderful Sunday!

I think the DOF and sharpness make up for its wings not being open. Fabulous capture!!
Fragile little thing. good work !
Wonderful and cool Macro...bravo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
I love how the lines on the wings compliment the lines in the leaf, wonderful!!
Excellent image! And the butterfly is for sure hardly to see upon that leaf. Soon global warming will make butterflies in winter possible here too! ;>
Perfect mimetism for this cute little Butty ! and another lovely Macro Wendy !
Superb macro, Wendy. Incredible when viewed full size!! She looks like a little leaf herself :-) Study well, pet. hugs. Di.
Fantastic DOF and clarity and I know the feeling when they close their wings, lol! Good luck at school.
THAT GOOD CAMOUFLAGE!!!!!!! That good taking!!!!!!!, your eye captures secrets of the nature!!! CONGRATULATIONS Roby ;O)
Neat shot! I like the side-view and profile... don't fret about missing the yellow, the brown is quite wonderful as well :)
The butterfly sure knows what color leaves to land on so it blends in so well. Beautiful photograph.
great DOF and bokeh, this is an excellent macroshot! Lara.
I like this " soft rust" texture on a wing!
Very nice macro. Well done! John
Excellent macro with outstanding details. Superb!
You sure learn a lot more about their little world seeing them like this. What good focus and nice colours/texture.
