Tent city raises concerns, draws support Diane Huberand Matt Batcheldor The Olympian OLYMPIA - Business owners had mixed feelings Friday as more tents for the homeless went up on a vacant downtown lot in protest of a city law that bans sitting on parts of downtown sidewalks.... The Olympian - fuck them anti-Tent City protesters. -Peace/Jeff :-) "Our greatest concern is they don't have a restroom," said Heather Snider, a longtime waitress at Trinacria Ristorante Italiano on Capitol Way, which shares a back wall with the camp.

It is a shame that we here don't take better care of our people. I am glad that this wonderful city is doing all they can to help. I guess a few porta- potties could help and if these protesters don't like that they are there, they can always take one home ...LOL... A strong statement and excellent image !!~BRAVO~!!

We HAD a tent city in our town. It was on the banks of the Arkansas river. Our city leaders took it upon themselves to bulldoze it down, after threatening the residents with arrest if they didn't leave. Ours had huge problems. It was known for murders, rapes, roberies, child prostitution, drugs and of course extreme alchohol abuse. Most of the residents left. Only a handful were arrested. Don't know where the people went. The city said that there were enough resources to help those that wanted it. Excellent image of a growing situation.
