Description
with a velvet smash
we break
the cold armour
companions of hate
lost brothers
of dark convictions
we embrace you
at the crossroads
tolerance
where to go
from here
around a lake
strings of weak
blue fog
on the beach
where he's waiting
the man
who thought
that dreams were
floating
is no more
than glistening
foam
on the lips
of the coast
slowly
french kissing
with a thousand
tongues
offering land
taking land
never giving
up

Thank you so much for reading this poem.
I used another of my early '90s Amiga images for the thumbnail, saved them for more than 15 years, from floppy to CD to external hard drive, and what do you know, after all this time, they have a new life ;-)
Have a GREAT weekend
Dirk

I love the beach. Fantastic discription of it, and I like the sketched-looking image! Excellent work! (:
When I read this poem I thought of Omaha Beach 1944. Don't ask me why. Wonderful image
Passive tolerance is easy, almost negative ... it's active tolerance which takes something from you to give to others which is in short supply. The imagery here is stunning in it's impact. Wonderful, my friend. Mike
