Description

This was my first VistaPro for some time. I started with VP2. After generating a landscape, using 20070129 as the random number, I cut the elevation by a half. I then played about with the cloud level, set some pine trees in the picture, and moved my POV down to wave top. The water was just a wee bit metallic looking however, so I did a quick postwork in Adobe Photoshop Elements with the Flaming Pear plugin 'Flood'. I would prefer Serif's PhotoPlus, but Adobe will not give up the plugin! Aye! I noticed that it is almost monochrome, but I have not changed it to grey scale.

Yes, Ialora, it was a megasized terrain. I have since played around on this terrain, with different POVs and haze and cloud levela, but have achieved nothing better than this. I very often use the present date, or an historical date as the random number, in format 'YYYYMMDD', and associate the terrain with what I am reading, or an anniversary, or wahtever. St. Margaret's Hope, was mentioned in one of John Buchan's pre-World War One stories, and refers to an area near to Scapa Flow, the Royal Navy's deep water harbour in the Orkney Isles in Scotland's 'Viking Margin'.
