I'd like some advise on improving moon shots, this is a 4sec exposure & 400ISO, I tried different ISO's, settings,Exposures, none really seemed to make much difference other than making the moon darker.
Thanks for your comments

Cool photo. Using a telescope to help focus the light helps out alot.
I actually quite like this shot. It reminds me of a firefly or that the moon is blasting off. If you're wanting more clarity on the moon though just reduce the amount of light with a much faster shutter speed (the moon moves) and even a lower ISO. The moon's actually quite bright. Hope this helps:)
Good capture picture erland
usually people use a short exposure for this kind of shots... btw i really love your long exposure for this moon! awesome!
It's a hard call with different light sources that could be around your camera. Depending on the focal length too. Your exposure here is good. Bracketing is a good idea and the use of layers.
love this shot and the glow around it awesome work!!
Great suggestions here! db's comment on focal length and external light sources are right on. And as nier pointed out, the moon is quite bright. I always do bracketed shots with a tripod (3-4 different exposure times) and combine the best moon with the best background or sky in Photoshop. Your Canon has a programmable bracket feature, but is limited to exposure times. Just an additional note, most of my night shoots usually are at ISO 100-200 to keep noise at a minimum. The Canon imaging system does extremely well in low light conditions. I had many noise issues with my Minolta system, though via bracketing and layering, still had some decent results. The newer Nikon and Olympus systems have improved their noise levels a lot, but spec wise, what you have right now can get great results. PS, I also like this shot! All the best, Kurt
its a fantastic image too me
The bright and light is super. Hugs

Cool shot, moon in "half glory"...yet.
