Description
In Greek mythology, Hecate was a goddess with many functions but mainly associated with black magic. She was considered to be the patron of witches and sorcerers. At night she wandered with the ghosts of the dead, haunting graveyards and crossroads. People used to place her statues at the crossroads, and she looked at all four directions at the same time with an ambiguous smile on her face. At the feet of her statues they put out offerings for her.
