Description
I thought I had this further along than I do, but I guess it doesn't really matter too much since it's still a work in progress regardless. lol
Was doing another of my VH character's girlfriend Caitlyn. Found this other hair a while back that works better from a style perspective, but it's nowhere near the right shade. So...given that I'm pretty much a novice in both PSP as well as the material room, am I better off changing the color in one place or the other and is it tough to do it either place? All tips and help will be most graciously accepted. :)
Thanks in advance. No idea where that line came from across the backdrop...I'll have to play around with that. For the color it's supposed to be, here's one sample. Others are available further back in my gallery.

Dear John, You can shift the color "slightly" in by changing the object color, but not very much. You need to go back the actual texture and change it there. In this case, you don't have to go to far judging from the sample, but I think it's still to much for just swapping the object color. Load the texture up in graphic program and see if you can "shift" the palette slightly. I don't know the exact command in PSP but in PhotoPaint, you shift the "hue" which basically slides the color spectrum around a little. This is probably better than "changing" the color mix - that if by bumping up the red to give her a more auburn look, because you'll loose details when you over drive the red channel. Hue doesn't usually cause loss of details. Another tricky sort of thing you can do is what I did on the April Fool post when Digital got "progged" into a redhead. I started with her blond texture, made a copy of it, then split the copy into RGB channels. I got rid of the green and blue and put the red channel asa layer over her blond texture - then just adjusted the transparancy of that layer until it looked right. Which hair is that??? Maybe I've already got a different color texture for it!! Give me a shout and I check it out!!! I like the blue and white blouse and skirt??? Does it come in my size???? ;-) Love ya!!!! Meredith
