Description

Some of us march to a different drummer. Our ways are anathema to the marketplace we serve. So it is with raytracing and sub-surface-scattering in the same image. Why not just use the proven method of reflection maps? I cringe at the flatness of going around a corner on four wheels. It rankles my sideslip. But then combining them is like a mouthful of Bordeaux mixed with Champagne. It is like the Happy Times off the Florida Straits mixed with the Mariannas Trench. Waves and Rays. "Geophysics" has much on this. The "Journal of the Acoustic Society of America" has more. But it's on sound, not light. Acousto-optics is no longer in it's infancy. Digital VSWR has shown it self on Vu meters. Who has not put a transparency of chrome on a black background only to have it disappear as the background shows through the chrome highlights. Cutting on an outline, bluescreening, erasing the background all are skills that may or may not be required to show off Victoria 4 in this vanishing light of my fantasy. Did I really spend years on headlights and reflections off glass?

It is a scary thought that one may be induced to believe that these Poser characters are Human rather than Puppets that one strictly manipulates with dials and string. Why some spend there weekly budget buying cloths for these things where by they spend hours positioning them. Absurdity has found it's place in these great halls. Pinocho would be proud.

Dear Dale, Tell Evie that she's not alone - I'm just running late as always!! The real solution to the rendering mess is to go to photon tracing!! That will appear in Poser version 27 or there abouts!!! For the time being, blue screening and post work is about the only way to get things done in a finite period of time!! Terrific bike and a hot lady to go with it!!! Love, Meredith
