Description
Depending on where the lava is, it takes about an hour or two to hike there. The longest time we spent on the lava field was 12 hours under the sun and heat. Nights are much cooler in every way. Will follow this lava ooze out and watch it spread a little. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

The glow of the lava is more dramatic in your night photos too! I like how the fresh ooze kinda glows through "ribs" in the partially cooled cover. :)
Wow such another awesome shot, and wow 12 hours.
you have lots of patience to stay there that long. I would imagine that the sulfur smell is quite bad. excellent capture
1 -2 hrs to get up there...heavy work out, but I am sure much more fun then a gym session! If I watch this lava long enough actually I can see it flowing. (I know it is silly but it really does it.)
12 HOURS ??????? under the hot sun and standing on the hot lava????? Has this heat melted part of your thinking cap????? LOL!!!!!!! Another amazing image to add to your never ending collection!!!!!!! Aloha...
look like a tongue comeing out of a fish mouth. real good work
Let's not forget the 2 hour hike back with really warm boots LOL. Great capture once again sharky, I love the contrasting red and yellow colors against the cooled lava!!

Nice to see that you were rewarded for your efforts...so many pretty shots! Aloha~
The face looking back at me from this one seems all to eager to spread over my toes and feed and gobble me whole. The moral of the story? Be nice to madam Pele... Aloha!
