Man...it took me forever to get this and even so it's still not quite what I was looking for, so if somebody has a better way to do it, I'm all ears (or in this case eyes. lol)
I started out trying to capture just her shadow on the fashion studio backdrop, but couldn't get it to come out looking well with the body in the way...and if I pulled the body far enough back to get a decent camera shot in there the shadow was pretty indistinct and big. :( So I finally managed this by making the backdrop just a touch transparent and capturing this from behind instead of from the front. Hope it's not too dark to be seen on others monitors.
Almost December...feels like it already here...really cold lately. Thanks for looking. :)

Hey John, here is a suggestion- render to Tiff in poser, this preserves the alpha channel separating the character from the background. Load the image into Photoshop, then double click on the "background" layer and conver to a true Layer, then you can select the alpha channel in Photoshop, invert the selection, delete the background- then you can color the figure however you want and place on any background you wish- thus attaining the sihlouette desired. Might be a little easier than above described method- hope this helps! -Jeff
I will try to send you how to use Alpha chanel in PSP. The truth is is use PS and i have to figure out how to use the option in PSP. LOL I dont know, but for me the image is a little to dark. But maybee its my monitor or i need glasses. LOL
Looks great to me John. Great image and great concept.
I don't want to know how you did this.. but mate.. this is so subtle and sexy and nice to keep the eye straing.. I really liek this.. this is ART!!!
All I see is a big black page.
First of all: I like very much what you did and the trick with the semi transparency is great! Using tiff format and alpha channel for postwork sounds like a good idea. It's just the same in PSP as it is in PS. Selction/ Load/Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Or similar, I don't have the English version of PSP.
Great idea and looks good from here!!
Looks great John!!!!
Very beautiful John!!
I agree with Deane....looks fantastic!
You know if you look at this a long time she seams to move ever so slightly totally cool. I did some thing similar with a shadow a bit back I just stuck the camera in the models head back lit it and bingo full on Silhouette but dont put the light to far back
All I see is a big black page,I agree her sorry I se nothing :-))) erland
That is inspiring the fantasy!!!LOL Marvelous made render and I think people with a not that perfect screen can't see a lot! I have a new Laptop and it has this gel-screens, but on my husbands normal screen I can't see anything only a black screen!! However a wonderful idea and perfect made!!! Hugs Ute
John, all I see is a black image too, sorry!
I might have a little better monitor I do see a dark sihlouette of a lovly girl. Iedhaven has some good advice for this one my friend.
Well John, jdehaven gave some great info there for future reference, and just to add to that, you can also save your render as a Photoshop image and still use the channel feature, I do it all the time. Excellent work in any event!
I can barely see it if I click on the enlarged view and up da brightness on my monitor... cool idea...
Looks great, I can't wait to see what the difference will be when you try the suggestions from everyone!
Excellently done work!!!!!!!!!!
I've always wanted to do one like this but never got around to it. Excellent work on it!
Hey!! Very unique image!!!! Excellent work, my friend!
Sure wish I could give you some advice but have never done one before. I read what jdehaven wrote and wow hope you can understand that I sure the hell cant. LOL...Shannon ;}
Dear John, You've gotten a bunch of good advice above. The main thing to remember is that there are lots of your friends that can probably help when you get stuck doing something! IM for help! I've done it more than once!! Alpha channels, green screens, and stuff is the ocean I swim in!! As a quick variation to pop it out a little, switch the image to grayscale, then ease the gamma up just a little until you get the definition you want. Quick and dirty, but it works - (I just tried it!!) ;-) Love ya!!!!! Meredith
I belive in you my friend, that you have a silhouette here!!!! And I know now, that i have to buy a new monitor!!!!!! LOL!!!!
great idea john, its a teaze if ever i saw one, ;o) maybe im not thinking straight but i would have rendered her in poser without any backdrops/floors, then saved her as a png and in your editing programme alter the brightness and contrast to the desired shade/slatness and then add another layer with your screen effect on and reduce the opacity down, .........i never understood alphas and gammas lol.
Wow this silhouette looks fantastic and this lady is very nicely shaped!!! Kudos on this one John, even I can't do this and regardless how dark it looks, to me it's still fantastic artwork :O) Excellent artwork John!!! Hugsss Frankie ^_^
