Description
An art student painting a scene at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden located on the north campus of Cal State University Long Beach in California.
The young lady was so involved in her work that she was completely oblivious to all activity around her, including me snapping her photo(s).
Sitting bent over and cross-legged for so long, which would be murder on my arthritic joints, is what I call pure dedication and devotion to your craft.
Thanks for dropping by, and behave yourself....Big Brother is watching.

ah...very fine one...smile... and how come I can feel with your arthritic joints just thinking of sitting like this for a very long time...lol
Excellent portrait of the artist ! :~)
Very good photo of artist at work. LOL @ murder on your joints, I know what you mean.
Wonderful candid shot Harry!!
she good at the drawing. real cool shot of a artist at work. I like that
Excellent capture of this devoted artist, and yes hard on the joints and settee, sitting so long lol, Bravo!!
And I can hardly sit in a chair for more than 10 minutes without my hips locking up and my feet going to sleep. LOL One of the things I miss about the small So. California communities is the street artists. Laguna Beach, Morro Bay, Costa Mesa... they all used to have someone sitting on the bluffs overlooking the ocean, sketching and painting. Love this reminder. Good job and thanks for the memories.
Beautiful capture of the young lady and the grounds beyond and behind her. I like the title as well..most perfect and fitting... the mood you've caught here is really beautiful and serene indeed, and to capture that special moment in time... like a meditation of sort..... that is.....(before you sna--oopped away.... :) It must be a wonderful feeling just sitting down and being so encapsulated within art, and ambivalent to all your surroundings in of "ordinary reality" Love the idea... Beautiful photograph, Big Brother!
young people can do it, but I can not. I have banged my knees too many times working on safes. she is an awesome artist from what I can see and you done a marvelous capture
Really well done shot, and the young ladies art looks excellent also.
Oh yes, very nice picture of this artist!!! Excellent!!! Good day ;)
I used to loose myself in drawing like that. A great form of meditation! Super capture.

An artist capturing an artist way to go... great shot.
