Description
A mother and her twin daughters cavorting naked in a stream, after having gone for a day in the country.
This is a landmark for me, because I've done what I swore I'd never do -make a render of V3. Usually I can't stand V3, but there was something about this figure's dumpiness that appealed to me.
The Nudist Mother is V3, with somebody's Dwarf Injection.
The Twin daughters are Neja, with M3 textures UTC'ed to V2.
The DragonFly, the Wasp, the Cat Tails, and the Narcissus (Snow Drops) are all Geraald Day props.
The swans are by Noggins.
The Corn Cob pipe is a freebie, I can't remember from where, and the lighte is literally a Zippo.
The tree is an old Zygote model, that I had to UV map to tile the bark texture correctly.
The backdrop is a Half Hollow Cylinder primative that I UV mapped, and then textured with this background from here in freestuff. The background was displaced to a value to 1.5, and bumped to a value of 0.750, and then tilted back on its x axis to complete the illusion. The water I did following a Wet Water tutorial in the DAZ forum: Naked elf bathing in the forest stream... (http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=45044&highlight=naked+elf)

I would like to be there :-))) erland
I've looked over all your renders. You have a very serious theme throughtout. Yours is like a story being written out with your images. Unlike most other galleries I see. Maybe not the best renders, and maybe not the most modern of the charactures. But a stronger message than with the other galleries I see. You are a master of theme!
lovely ladies. terrefic work, keep up the good work
The technical stuff has me vastly impressed - if equally mystified. the idea is interesting, and the near-modely quite natural. The use of the pipe is also thought-provoking. I worry about two features: 1)the colour and visual proximity of the flowers conflicts with the swans, and 2) why is the water (and background) on such a slant. could you have adjusted? Oh dear! I'm at it again. I do agree with Slowhands though, and you generally have a good eye for composition.
Awesome render! I especially like the water!!! I'll have to look up that tutorial.
Excellent idea, very interesting composition. However, I do'nt like the colour of the plants in the foreground. Forgive me, as a "print" rather than as a web artist, to consider the painting in CMYK and not in RGB terms: these plants are deeply lacking some magenta. Natural plant colour always have some magenta in their greens, otherwise they look like frozen peas.
This is excerted from a private letter sent to me. With the authors permission, I'm posting it that others may benefit form it's sound advice. * * * * * Dear David, I couldnt answer you in time because I was spending some holidays in Thailand; I'm back only today. For the final pic you made much improvements especially on the texture of the tree that didnt work correctly on the post you sent me here. However, I must acknowledge that this one is far from being one of my preferred: First, because the different planes of the picture dont seem to match correctly; and second, because of the colours (see my comment). I apologize if Im somewhat severe with you here, because I'm sure that you can do much better. Try to mix and match the various planes of the picture better; imagine if you will that it is in fact a single photograph, what would you have see? For the colours, check by studying some photographs. When you've taken some photographic samples, jump into Photoshop and use the Eyedropper tool to understand the colour composition of a number of fundamental components: grass, tree leaves, skin etc This should prevent "artificial"-looking colours. I consider that the first lesson in computer graphics is to start with 4 gouache tubes: cyan, magenta, yellow and a small black tube, and with that you paint everything. I learnt that from a good painting instructor in Art School, and it has helped me much. E.G. a good start for vegetal colours would be at least 7% magenta (e.g. C45 M13 Y65 K0, i.e. the yellow is more than the cyan except for evergreen plants). For human skin (European type) I take something like C7 M40 Y47 K0. I apologize that I'm unable to give you the equivalent in RGB colour system, but even in RGB picture mode you can create colours with CMYK sliders, and doing so prevents much of the worst results. Enjoy a good week, Elcet
