@Schabek: Actually, when scanning I tend to try to capture the widest possible tonal range. This means that, immediately after scanning, the image was quite flat. However, if compared to a chemical print I have of this photo, it's quite similar. Therefore, yes, the image has been processed, altough it's nothing that couldn't be done easily in a dark room.
Amazing tonal range!!! Every little detail of that stereo for instance is clearly shown. Yup a B&W doesnt get richer than this. #:o)

Cool shot - i cant help thinking that the plant suspended from the ceiling is a wierd prop for the mirror for someone to look at themselves as if they were wearing a long haired "plant-wig" =D Such a detailed shot which tells a story of life in China - well done! :)
