Hello All!
.
My newly washed car kicked up dirt as I held the directions , searching for the address on the paper and then came to a stop on an old country dirt road.
For some reason I didn't understand ,this old worn boot and bright red pump caught my eye , I immediatly wondered if it had a story when i saw it with a personality all its own hanging there on a bright red pump. A large, kind, big hearted lady came out of her house that her husband had built her to greet me. She told me the story of the boot and its history and why it was there.
They were her husbands favorite work boots- he had worn them for years refusing to buy another pair. He was sentimental about them as his lucky pair and the boots he had worked hard to build her a home and farm off a peaceful country road. He had spent many years building them their dream home. That dream was dreamt and carried out in those old worn boots. He had one last project. They needed a pump. He spent hours digging and got real dirty but he wouldnt come in for dinner he had to finish so that all would be complete!. Finally the pump was in and the work was done on the land and new homestead. But the pump it tilted and wouldn

What a marvelous true story, very touching and you did well photographing it from the low POV, as if you had to bow down yourself to take the pic. Excellent work.
Great story! What a fabulous perspective of this piece of family history and great lighting. Well done!
LOL.. great story. The photo is marvelous -- like the POV very much. Had a similar story, came from the neighber to the north, now moved away. The "Chief", as he was referred to was a huge man, a bulldozer operator. He left his faithful redwing work boots behind. They were so wide my wife planted hens and chicks in them. They are still out there somewhere.
Great POV and image..I see that creative artistic eye of yours is still hard at work ..
Great story, and the point of view you got with this shot is just fantastic. It is almost a trademark style of your Kimmers. Glad to hear about your home. Now you can relax a bit. Hugsssssssss
