Description
This was an experiment I did in the dark with a lighting technique I believe is called corona lighting. (It reminds me of a few beers in Mexico...lol) Considering that I was the model and this is my profile, I kinda liked how it turned out.
However, the more I look at it the more I have this strange urge to watch an Alfred Hitchcock movie...
Have a fabulous day and Halloween, if you celebrate the Feast of all souls/saints.

How scary! LOL Just kidding. You captured the essence of the profile very well. I must say you got the "corona" etched with the miminum of light spill. Excellent work.
Nicely done -- you could create a whole series of these. Heck, you could establish a new school of photography with this :o) Keep up the good work.
Ooooooooooh! Thats what it is. Im glad you told us, because i had no idea!!! This is so cool!!!!!! Truly beautiful, original and creative! Well done Jodieeeeeee!!!! Have a Happy Halloween! #:o)
Excellent!!! Very creative indeed! I love it! Bravo!!!
Cool one...but I am glad you explained... LOL.. first thought it was some sort of strange ballon going up...LOL
I could not tell from the thumb.... Successful experiment Jodie, beautiful profil silhouette ! :~)
Cool backlighting silhouette shot. That is really meticulous and must have taken a lot of control in its execution. A nice artistic study, but really not scary at all. BTW, I watch an Alfred Hitchcock one hour TV presentation almost every week night on local station Channel 56/KDOC in LA.
cool use of light :) Maybe me and my imagination and the day it is but the tuft of hair, the face looking upwards, and the white (moon)light makes me think of a werewolf about to change :) If that wasnt the intention then in terms of the shot: very cool use of the effect, i need to give this a go at some point :)
So very different and so creative... I love it Happy Halloween to you too sweetie I have up a new one too drop by when ya can Hugs Susan~

Whew -- impressive! Way to use the light. Very graphical.
"Only in silence the word only in dark the light, only in dying life..." from The Creation of , by Ursula K. Le Guin A symbolic and most appropriate image, whether for All Hallow's Eve or the Day of the Dead; I can appreciate the Hitchcock reference, too, LOL! FIVE STARS
beautiful profile, expressive light, looks very jazzy ! most excellent photography art ! #:O) ^^^^^^^^^^
