Description
Ok it friday lol. I know things get slow on friday and Saturday here so I post what ever May not be the best but then I do not know at times, Like my swamp photos lol Thanks for all that put some as they favorites. I thought they was not good. Goes to show I know nothing.
But I show a little of what I know in blacklights. Maybe I going up the wrong tree here shooting these but I like to do them so I have fun doing it.
I take two sheets of transparency file [printing type] and put cooking oil and neon paint on one and place the other on top then I shoot them as you see here with a camera on a tripod. In number 1 I peeled the two sheets apart. But i do that last. In number 2 I place some neon clay there to see what what. Yes my camera moved even thought I have it on a tripod. My camera do not support a cable click thing lol . In number 3 I got some old ones I did and let them dry up to see what happens and I place them on top or under and move them around.
Yes I do take it off the tripod of lay the tripod down and I have my hand resting on something to get close ups.
I need a tripod that have a arm that I can put at a 90 degrees lol Guess they have them i just did not look. I saw one on line that the legs bend. I think it called gorilla tripod.
I long winded lol sorry But I just like to show some things I do to get the shots in blacklights and when I get another camera I show how I do most my shoots
Oh the reason why I posted this way is like someone just looking at photos and lay them dowm on a table.

Interesting effect...
Oh yes, very beautiful image and very nice composition!!! Good day ;)
I told you I sometimes start at the last and go to the front and I just noted that what I did here with the numbers lol
I think seeing this is great. I love to think up new things too but I'm not as creative as you are. My best find so far was walking through the garden at night with a small battery operated light on a stick. I put it behind things and shoot for a lit-up affect. Sometimes it works well, other times not so well. These are very interesting!
Thanks for sharing! I think this is so cool and like knowing your process. You created some cool design here just for explanation purposes. I especially like #3 and a couple of the bottom ones ;)
Pretty COOL
You sure do get some cool designs with that technique! That's for a 'behind the scenes' view & explanation! (:
Jocko, thank you for the interesting tour of step-by-step blacklight methods. Most enlightening! Takes a lot of imagination. Those are real cool shots of the process. Looks like you're mixing ingredients for a pizza pie or something. Anyway, you put a lot of work into your creations and that's worth a high five, my friend!
Thank you Jocko .. for more insight into how you work. And for giving us ideas to run with .. you have a fantastic mind, and your photos are an inspiration
Superb as always Jock my friend. It seems you have brought the mess of traditional art (paint oil etc) into the digital world!!! Good on ya!

Aaah... the mystery is revealed, that's how you do it! Thanks for sharing! I just love your blacklight creations!!!
great collage ... excellent creations !
great tips , i like number 3best , looks like an asteroids field, TIP: to not shake the camera find the self exposure setting it will then count down after you pressed the button so u wont have camera shake.
These are really great. I like how they hide some defects that might show in a bigger image of anyone. There is a liquidity that I would love to see in a bigger one. It's there just somehow I know it could go awry as you try to use what you already have. Post has it's discipline.
A excellent collage of abstractions Jock.....!!!!
