Description
Nikon 7900 image.
We had a little cold snap today and I took the opportunity to try and capture some little critters who were moving slowly due to the chill.
I even came across a couiple I had never actually seen before. They range from the sublime to the bizarre. Tonight's posting is one of the sublime ones, lol.
I had read about pink katydids on "WhatsThatBug.com" but had never seen one and would not have believed they were real if someone had just told me about them, lol. Obviously I am now a believer. In fact I found and photographed several of them today. The pink color ranged from pale to vivid and this guy was the pinkest of the bunch. I am not sure if this color is the result of breeding displays or not but it surely is noticable.
AS always, the full size image shows much better detail.

This is totally amazing and I wish I could see one for myself. Great clear macro taken with good skill and with an eye for a well put together shot. Love it.
