Description
Theseus was from Athens and when older he went off to destroy the Minotaur with success. He was aided by Ariadne, to whom he fell in love with, and then abandoned her on an island. Dionysos rescued her and she became his wife. Theseus forgot to place white sails on his ship so his father would know he had returned safely, and his father saw black sails and thought the worst and jumped into the sea, named after him-- the Aegean.
