I think this maybe the most dramatic of your series. something so dangerous but yet so beautiful. thanks for putting yourself in harm's way to get all these awesome shots
Lol, wow thats some shot, all this cool molten rock, just awesome to see.
Terry need to understand, good shots like this and all the past posts from You, need time to make. Seems to me this shot shows more opened up cracks, realy getting serious...and hot!
Wonderful! So... not real. Liquid rock... I can't image the heat even with the great job you did photographing it. :-)
BEAUTIFUL !!

A great serie. Beautiful
LOL! Terry sounds like my wife whenever were on vacation. A drive that shouldnt take longer than 1 hour took us 2 days because i had to stop and photograph every 10 feet, lol. Beautiful lava-shot. I really love this purple tint it has. Have a great day Errol. #:o)
I deeply understand your fascination for this lava river/lake... I surely will have the same if I was there. Great serie my friend, wish you a nice day, Aloha, G.
This shot I like especially! Love the purple glow it makes! Love the series... keep em comin'! :)
man that is supercool, awesome contrasts between the still hot magma and the cooled lava. great shot.
Superb shot to end this stunning series!!! Bravo Errol!!!
Beautiful light and colour. Great contrast and so CUTE
An excellent capture of both destruction and rebirth. How fortunate you are to witness the works of the universe's two greatest artists, God and Mother Nature, in person.
Never tired of this... amazing !
beautiful moving flows of art and colours.. stunning..:)..:)
I take my time hiking so I can see, feel and hear evyerthing. I am guessing this is quite peaceful there yet so dangerous. Are there sound of boiling heat? Its beauty is inviting it fools you to draw you near. Excellent images that you have capture of this great mother earth monster.
LottaLagg1...When the lava ooze moves across the old surface rocks, its has a crackling sounds. Part of the sound is due to the sudden heat over the old cold lava surface...sounds caused when the lava pushes little pieces of loose glass like rocks. Some popping sounds are cause when lava rolls over trapped air or moisture. There are other popping sounds such when a thin piece of lava rock skin breaks away from its shell. Other than that, lava is quite silent even in the skylights (we could not hear any sounds at all). Moisture in the air especially when it rains causes sounds as it touches the hot lava. These are our observation at close up. Lava pouring into the sea is another thing too..... Unless you get close to an eruption, the lava itself seems quiet. Now during my younger days of getting close to an eruption, yes....there was much noise and sounds coming out of the ground. Thanks for asking... Aloha
Awesome capture as all your serie !!! Bravo :)
lol I tried already just thinking how fast you two move. I slow at walking and out of shape. thinks for telling about the sounds you hear. guess you going or did record some for your slide shows you make at home so you can watch them on tv? this is cool looking
wonderful colour :)

Another beautiful capture of Mother nature's power. Dangerous, yet lovely.
The purple haze of the lavaflow is hypnotic in this pic - I can't imagine seeing it up close and personal
