Our next visit after Flores and Corvo is the Island of Faial, We had only a half day stopover on this Island on our way to Sao George!!
(Flight to Faial & Ferry to Sao George)
The Vulcan Capelinos was very active for months and months in the years 1957 & 58. New land was formed and is, as you can see on the photo, still very desolated, and if you have a closer look you can find people walking in the still
