Description

My hiking buddy Terry wanted to walk the lava fields at night (he's done it before). I suggested that we do it when the moon is up to aid in our navigation and help our picture taking (I've done it before). So we set our lava hike for Sept 10th and started our hike 2:30 am in the morning which gave us enough time to find the lava, take pictures in the dark, pictures at sunrise and pictures in daylight. We could see from far away the lava glow and headed to the bright lights. When we had a clear view of what's ahead, we knew we had something hot. Hope you enjoy. Aloha and thank you for viewing.....

babuci....This photo was with a flash. The flash somehow changes some of the colors of the lava...yellow became to extreme. Without flash, what should look like bright orange became more white. I need to find the right settings in both case...Aloha
