Turkey Run State Park - Indiana
I haven't done my homework yet so I don't know what kind this is. All I can say is that he or she held still for the shot. Whether posing for glamor or freezing to hide I don't know.
Good weekends to all and
Thanks for looking!
Ken
[Brenda discovered that this is a Pickerel Frog, and that it is uncommon.]

What a friendly little frog. I still think she thought if she held still you couldn't see her. Whatever the reason, it was a wonderful way to finish our hike. Great shot dear.
Great frog and I love the pattern on its back! Nice of it to stick around for this.
Fantastic capture of this frog. I never have seen this kind of frog. Looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Fabulous pattern this little guy has, nice shot!!
Looks like a leopard frog, though I am no expert....great shot Ken!!!
most excellent nature image well done
He is cute. I love frogs. Youu've taken a great shot. :)
Beautiful capture and frog, Ken. Top work!! Di.
Good shot of a strange patterned frog. thanx ;-)
Great Kermy Kapture Ken (KKK ?) in OZ we have similar shaped one's called "Rocket Frogs", but I reckon Eric might be on the right track, the pattern is very leopard-ish. Well done Mr Frog Tamer ! Cheers :o)
Leopard Frogs look similar but not quite the same. Brenda nailed it in the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources data base as a Pickerel Frog. At least it's not a Cane Toad! LOL!
all deck out in color to hide. this is a cool frog here
Believe that's a leopard frog Ken...Kermit's cousin :) Can't believe that you got this one to pose for you...excellent and lucky snapshot!! EDIT: I see that you say it's a pickerel frog....maybe leopards are greener? I grew up calling any of these spotted slimeys a leopard :)
Incredible shot. He is quite handsome.
