Description
Hello all!!
I still have lots of pics from my Michigan trip, wildlife and sunsets etc - but for some reason this one calls to me, so I am putting it up!.. lol cannot expain why I like this here, but I do. Maybe it's the colors.
When I shot all the water lilies, * (see gallery) there was a side of the lake where all the sludge built up. An old Chinese woman told me the murkier the water the prettier lotus flowers. Why is that I wondered? How is it possible?
I walked over and looked at the sludge build up and saw these turning discarded leaves and a sandal that was floating there. Couldn't help but think how you can find beauty even in the tossed aside discarded things in life.
I feel deep down that the artists who have gone through the most pain and hurt for some reason, paint the most beautiful soul-reaching pictures...
How do those HUGE liles bloom in such murky water I wonder? Maybe they are so happy to get out of that downtown LA murky water that they bloom like nowhere else on the planet. I have been told they are the prettiest in the world in that dirty LA pond. Here is the side the lily pond that no one takes pictures of - I found beauty in it- the discarded - and thought I would share it with you here today! ( taken with my nikon 7900 pocket cam - not photomanipulated just a slight bit of smudging to help draw it out - only slightly saturated. They were strong colors from whatever was in that downtown murky pond lol)
Thank you for all your time and comments !'
Love to you all!

A wonderful image... and your postwork and colors are very impressive! A picture that tells a story, yet each person who sees this will have a different story in their mind. Very artful!
Perfect. Even with that dang flipflop in there! ;^P
This is really amazing ... and beautiful!!! I'm glad you posted this one..it's quite special I think.
Absolutely fantastic..nice colors too! Excellent photo :)
WoW, quite a story really. I looked more than once before I read your piece about uour piece. I had decided it must be a painting you had then photographed, I had decided I could even see the textures in the paint so it was quite a surprise to read about what the "painting" really is and how it was done. Fantastic photography and it looks so good in the frame, Beautiful.
Awesome work...
Oh this is fantastic viewing I love what you have achieved splendid work! Cathy xoxoxo

Beatiful "arrangement" with wonderful colours... Wonder where Cinderella might be looking for her shoe right now...

Incredible image, pure marvel !
Oh man, this is just such a beautiful photo. Too striking for words.
Those colors are fantastic! :0)
I like to take pictures of seemingly "ugly" things myself. A couple that stand out in my mind that were never really appreciate were one of a dead pigeon in the snow; and one of gum stuck on a chain link fence. Neither were as colorful as this one however. Good job! I like it.
Colorplay and calm water creates a wonderful mood to me! Great image!! I want to send you an invitation to my brand new Art4Heart.Gallery. Would be pleased if you upload some of your best artwork!
Amazinging color and a solid composition... the floating sandal does appear to belong
Those are some pretty wonderful colors. Perfect composition as always, really awesome
It is a rare find indeed to capture the wild, michigan flipitus flopitus in it's native habitat... ;) I have to agree with you... there is something 'bout this pic... hard to quantify really... I would have to say for me.. it looks as though the sandal belongs there... which is strange all unto itself.
