Description

This butterfly originates from the tropic. Once I knew what it's name was...but sadly enough I have forgotten what it is. The photograph is taken in a green house. It was raining outside, so the light conditions were very poor at that time. I didn't use any flash light. That resulted in a very narrow DOF in this pic.

I think the narrow DOF looks great. This will sound snooty, but the narrow DOF adds a nice sense of style to the image. It would've looked great normally but now it's got something relatively unique about it. Thanks for sharing.

OOOooooh! beautiful! I'm not much of a photographer, though I do try now and again, but to my eyes, this is very well done. I think you have to look past the technical stuff to the over all feel of the finished shot, which is wonderful.

I adore black and white butterflies. What they lack in color, they make up in pattern. This is beautiful and the flowers give it just the right touch of vibrancy to make the butterfly stand out.

A very beautiful B&W-butterfly that really looks amazing together with that red flower and green background. Excellent macro once again. #:O)

This is an exceptional example of beautiful non-directional ambient lighting that you've captured perfectly. It brings out the details without harsh shadows.
