Description
Hello All!
While antique shopping on the bluff on vacation I met this wonderful cowgirl your see in the back ground whose name is Grace ( she also sells antiques, raises /breeds dogs and teaches gymnastics!!) . I talked to Grace for sometime at the antique fair and turned out she knew someone my Mom knew... So when I told Grace my daughter Janel loves horses, she kindly invited us all out to her farm !! The girls got to ride the great white brown speckaled beauty and the shetland pony you see in the back ground.
Here, Grace is putting away the reigns ( my girls rode her bare back!) in the farm and going to bring out the others and the promised apple that was the reward for the ride she just gave ther kids . In this shot the beautiful and very friendly white mare is waiting patiently for her apple treat that she was promised- lol she seemed to know it was comming!!.
See that red barn under the white mare there? It is full of many 100 year old tractors ,farm equipment / relics as well as haybales with many wild kittens scampering about that are impossible to catch!...
I liked this shot for the color and pov under the mare it shows how she is looking back waiting for her apple so hopefully!!...
Still waiting for my shots to arrive as my Mom is sending them little by little from her computer... psst I got my new slr here now...but i think it will be a while before I use it . I looked it it for a long while this morn and felt suddenly overwhelmed ... ( OK Don't laugh now ) and somehow... LOL , I
felt like I was betraying my other little friend / pocket cam !!! as it has been like permatly attached to me for the last year and a half.... its going to take me a while to get used to or attached the new SLR ...LOL...and infact, I am in no hurry but am excited about having /learning it now!...I still do feel some kind of strange loyalty and love my wide angle little pocket cam -the nikon 7900 that I tool this here pic with hehe...
Thank you for your time and comments !
* please view at full size as its best for its
viewing effect- thank you !!
Love to you all!
((( BIG HUGS !! ))

The horse is a beaut sis... Isn't it odd that when you go somewhere you meet someone who know someone in your family? Glad this turned out...and the girls got to ride too...who could ask for more... Excellent capture sis Hugs Susan~

What a story Kimarie :) And amazing shot to honey!! Love the POV and your presentation! OMG!! Look at that horsey :D Heheheheeeehhee :P Thank you for the post and have a superbe weekend :) JOE
very good pov. I used to hate horses because of they big noises lol I ok now.
Love the POV here and the story, it reminds me of the summer I was taken to a second cousins horse breaking ranch. He was a big, tough Cree Indian and I was a little 6 year old white boy and he terrified me but when he brought out a Shetland pony just for me to ride he became my Favorite cousin. lol Thanks for the fun shot! :)
Wonderful captured Kimmie!!! It looks wonderful and you get really the expression it is waiting for someone!!!! Excellent work!!! Hugs Ute

Wow Kimmie, that is one fine looking horse and it sounds like your girls had lots of fun riding this horse!!! I remember riding horses (never bareback) when I was a kid, I even rode a donkey, very uncomfortable!!! This is a fantastic photo and a beautiful farm scene!!! Hugsss Frankie ^_^
What a gorgeous beauty!! Excellent point of view, this is really well done!
very beautiful horse Kimarie and I thought you had taken it on your trip.right now is an excellent time to buy compact flash sandisk extreme II because they are clearing them out for III's. the II's are plenty fast and your Canon uses cf. through some price plus 10% guarantees I managed to get II one gig for $26.the normal price is $70.00 and when they were first released they were more than $100.00. I really like your pov
Magnificent animal! Excellent POV and colors. Nice light and shadow from the low-in-the-sky sun. I get the same feeling about my two cameras, that I'm being disloyal to one while using the other. Actually, I have four cameras: two digital, and the other two of the older 35mm film variety, which I haven't used for years.
And here I am with no apple! Excellent!
I tried riding a horse. They know if you're in control or not.. They sure wouldn't listen to me, lol. Beautiful capture. Aloha
Nice farm scene you've captured! :0)
Wonderful shot Kim..beautiful horse!!
Cool shot!!!! Nice DOF!!!! Lucky girls..... bet they had lots of fun and didn't think about school starting at all!!!! LOL ;p
Wow, this is one clever shot, it's like a story inside of a story. I like the way you have the background subjects framed by the white mare. Fantastic POV, this whole shot.....RAWKS!!!
Welcome home kimmers: happy to see your wonderful Photos once more: That horse look large with the big window open I think horses are beautiful but I am very afraid of them it's a long story! but this picture is awesome !
What a cool day for you and the girls. That Appaloosa looks young, almost coltish. Wonderful to have such a great encounter like that. Excellent image. Love horses myself. !!!
Superb shot! The skewed perspective giving the horese a loooooong neck combined with the colorful cowgirl looks great. Excellent work!
I like this POV of a farm animal. You so good at see things from a different view, makes me realize not everithing is at eye level only.
