been learning the Bob Ross painting technique..and well...promised i would post one that i was finally happy with....and this is the first...so erm...er.....i posted it ;)
has to be said the photograph really doesnt do the picture justice...but hey...limitations of taking a photo of an oil painting...i did tweak colopur ranges and contrasts to try to recapture the original colours....

Excellent work! Colour palette really complements the atmosphere - tranquil, but slightly haunting... If the photo doesn't do justice, then the original must be pretty impressive :)
I've always liked watching Bob Ross on TV. A sad loss to the art comunity. You have caught his style perfectly, a fantastic scene, well done ^_^

Yes, definitely photos of oil paintings are a tough one. I usually get mine digitally scanned professionally - costs me a bit, but then I can make geclee reprints on canvass, retouch them up and sell them as unique originals. For a first post of an oil, I think you've done a great job. I like your earth tone approach and your water reflections below.
