Description
Pazu paced nervously before the holographic display as the Master Tracker came onto the rooftop. The Master loved the view of the spaceport and the departing and arriving ships.
The Trayodashan Master Tracker was excited about the latest finding, if it were correct. His tentacles were twitching with energy as he strode up to the display. He blinked and looked in shock as a throbbing bright flower of probability bloomed in Rahkoshan space nearby.
"That is in the Rahkoshan Military-Command Space! Why is that on my screen? What is it?"
Pazu was a loyal and intelligent servant, and answered his master quickly,"Great One-- it is a class point seven probability event in the Heelos Star-system, on the planet Balaam. A probe we sent there after the war between the Suruin and Jongwe has turned up something startling. Balaam is a HUMAN planet! Where humans dwell, there are often..."
Master Tracker interjected,"...Ancient Human Forebear Artifacts! I know of Tiyee-the-White's facination with those things. Dangerous and deadly, but very powerful. When the Jongwe over-ran the planet she went to to give birth, she disappeared. The Suruin went crazy and wrecked several Jongwe systems in the biggest series of battles since the Triangulum Galaxy was wrecked by humans four million years ago!"
The Master looked intently at the readouts. He said with conviction, "The old records of Heelos show an inhabitable pair of planets. Inhabitable by the Naga. Tiyee-the-white is a Naga leader. She needed a place to hide and give birth--A place out of the Jongwe's reach. The Rahkoshans are known to be sympathetic to birthing females, and have little love for the Jongwe. The Jongwe wouldn't--COULDN'T follow her there. It is a logical place to look. Especially given the new facts."
Pazu looked shocked. He stammered out, "Master! It is Rahkoshan space!"
The Master Tracker pointed at the point of light, and commanded, "Prepare my ship! We lift off immediately! We were hired by the Suruin Matriarchy to find their wayward leader. It's been thirty years, but I never give up a commission! Ever. We go!"
Pazu was sure he was going to die this time. He nodded and told the pilot to turn off the hologram and come along. He said, "Yes, my Master." Followed along behind the tall, limber Trayodashan to whatever fate had in store for him.
