After Kelly left the scene and Bean had made their way behind the sheet and out of sight, Mom finally got Listy to come over into frame. I can't remember if she used just the catnip pictured above or if she picked them up and set them in front of the camera, but they had no objection to staying long enough for me to get this shot along with a couple of other good ones. Listy is Bean's twin, named loosely after a character in Red Dwarf. When Listy isn't chasing my feet down the stairs, they're very reserved, shy and overly sensitive. Oddly enough (fans of the show might find this amusing), they're quite a fan of my awful guitar playing. The day they and Bean arrived they both got a little disoriented and hid up in my loft. Later on I decided to do some guitar practicing, but I didn't want to disturb them so I turned the volume way down. When I was done, I peeked around the loft stairs and was greeted by two curious little faces. I played some more and the next time I peeked they were even farther down the stairs, looking at me as if they expected an encore. EDIT: not assuming gender in cats anymore (because if you think about it, that just makes no fucking sense -- it's not like they can tell us what gender they are -- plus it's cissexist and binarist). sorry about that.
