Description
Some nasty things happened in the Atlantic during WW2. This is one of them.
U Boats didn't always waste expensive torpedoes on small ships, they were expert at gunnery too.

CS2 for post.
(You'll normally find me in the aviation gallery, but there is so much water in my pic I decided to come downstairs, so to speak).
Hope the air/sea mix hasn't offended the purists amongst you.
Thanks for looking.

I think the air/sea mix works, the picture has that stylised look of a picture a former pilot might have on their mantle piece. Looking through your gallery, you have a real eye for these aeroplane pictures. Very impressive sea.
Those first few years were dark days indeed. I'm sure seeing a PBY comming in was always a welcome site to our ships. Great capture on the Cat.
The mix works for me too, this is excellent!! I'd love to kmow where you get the models 'cos they look really good :)
Great PBY!
Nice work bud. Glad I came down here for a look see.
sighted sub, sank same..;) A great Hommage to Catalina..;) ok, I'll stop now..;) keep it up.
One of your best for my money! All that work on flash, waves, and smoke!
reat render. Wonserful scene!
Nice job! :B eaver !
XLT work.
truly outstanding. great postwork, the water has so much detail as with the ships. excellant work
Awsome my man!
Wonderful water effects
Only 1 thing I see stands out: the scale of the ship and the man overboard to the sub. Unless the ship is actually a small coastal patrol boat, it would appear to be a destroyer or frigate-sized vessel. Which means that it would be twice as long as the sub. Now, if the sub were actually closer to the viewer, than I think the DOF needs to be worked on...oh, sorry one more observation: unless the sub were caught on the surface by BOTH the destroyer AND the Catalina, the sub would not be fighting back, she would have dived as quickly as possible to avoid a fight......still, a dramatic scenario nonetheless.

Fantastique reconstitution! Vraiment impressionant!
