Description
Okay, okay.I know it's a stupid title. It's probably not even a falcon, lol. But I couldn't think of a title for this...and then I remembered watching "Rich Man,Poor Man" as a kid,and how there was this guy named Falconetti...and the whole time I watched it,I thought his name was Falcon Eddie, lol.
Incidentally,I took this last summer at a Scottish festival. There was this guy there with all these falcons and hawks.I never uploaded it,because I didn't think it was good enough, but I recently found it on an old memory card and thought I might as well upload it...before it gets erased or something.
Hope you like it and as always,I'd appreciate any comments or critiques you may care to leave.
Take care everyone and hope you are having a lovely week.
Always,
Marlene :^)

Superb shot!! (my high school 'nickname' was the 'falcons'.
A stunning portrait by any call. The lighting is just superb, and as always, the DOF and focus bring out each and every detail. Totally professional, and super wonderful, Marlene. It doesn't get any better!!!

A great picture and a nice ancedote to go with it :) I can't think why you would not consider this good enough to upload.
I always thought it was Falcon Eddie too.Having held this for so long without sharing is mean LOL Never knew you did shots like this too. Impressive Marlene. Be nice for me even to get something like this, seeings how I love doing the bird shots. Have yourself a fantastic week now.
It is an excellent picture. As far as what kind of bird it is, I think it is from the genus "Buteo". In Britain and Ireland, they are "buzzards", but I think they are called "hawks" in the US. The Red-tailed Hawk is a typical east-coast example. If you took this in Scotland, it's a "Common Buzzard". Sorry for the boring name, but, as your lovely photograph shows, there's nothing boring about the birds.
Awesome animal portrait.
that's an amazing portrait of Eddie. he's so alive and ready for action.
He's a ten! :)
