Description

Darksied, God-King of the planet-wide city planet of Apokolips, faces the universe with resolve. He was created in the DC comics universe by Jack Kirby. What struck me about him, was he wasn't like the comic book villains of the day. Kirby really gave this character a personality. He was evil, but Kirby breathed life into him. When I was a kid age of 15 (three decades ago) , I went to a comics convention in New York, and met Jack Kirby. He was auctioning off a painting of his fairly new villain, Darksied, God-King of the Planet Apokolips. It was different stylistically, from his drawings. He had done a fairly 'realistic' style for the Big stone-face. In it Darksied had a kind of frown. like Mona Lisa's smile. Enigmatic and knowing. I've tried to capture that here. Let me know If I did. Media is Poser 6

Awesome job I love the look he may have a bit too much forhead which changes his appearence just a bit but the skin texture, build, and look of his costume are awesome! Even his stance is so Darksied love it.
