Description
"That be lion grass!" our gamepark guide pointed out with real fear in his voice to our request to get out of the vehicle and wander around a bit in the seemingly vacant savanna in Meru Gamepark in Kenya. shortly after his warning we came across a pride of over twenty lion as shown in this vignette. the lion were spread out over a couple of hundred feet. i'm glad we heeded his warning and stayed in the van.
this vignette is dedicated to Dianthus who wanted to see some lion cubs. there were about 15 or 16 cubs that i could see in this one pride.

Oh wow!!! Yes, when the grass is long like this, you don't get out of a vehicle to wonder around in the wild. Soooooo not safe! LOL Lovely vignette! They are not easy to spot in any game park. You were lucky to come across then!
Good work, maybe a littel bit more sharpness :-))) erland
Great captures and collage Gary! I am SOOOO happy you heeded the tourguides' warning! I've seen what these creatures can do to those who stray away from the vehicle. It's awful! Have a wonderful day buddy!
Great photo series my friend.....!!!!
Amazing!
Amazing how many are together. Glad you didnt take a closer look. Just keep looking at the heads only through the grass. Makes me wonder how many more you didnt see. Thankyou so much Gary for showing me this collage. Must have been wonderful to see in person. Even though scared also. Thankyou for your kindness:)
