Description
Managed to get up reeeeeeeeeal close to a damselfly, this time a brown one. Beautiful little thing. This was altered a bit from the original shot, aside from the usual cropping, framing and brightness/contrast tweaking: I darkened everything except the little fly and the leaf he was clinging to because I thought he wasn't standing out enough from the background. I didn't darken it much, just enough to make the background less distracting. To be honest I think this is a great shot in terms of detail but it doesn't really have the artistic punch I was hoping for. Oh well.
I'd like to thank the people who commented on "another daddy" (the rest of you can kiss my ass). I'd also like to thank my mom for moving an obscuring branch out of the way of this shot. More tomorrow.

Excellent macro:)
Oh my...such language....i better comment then cause god knows i dont want to kiss your ass. What the heck is that anyway? Look at the tail on that one. Ive never seen anything like it? Really amazing capture. If i were to suggest anything, it would be to perhaps blur out the background some more. Make it stand out more than it does against those branches that has the same shape really.
Very good macro. I see you checking all local bushes to find some more new creatures :-) take care
That is the longest damselfly i have ever seen!! very good macro ideed!
wowww, excellent capture and very nice color too... Very good work in this one my friend !!! Good day and kiss ;)
Granny what big eyes you have. Wow, macro delux, this is so cool.
it has perfect punch imo. Great shot; love the pose and how you managed to get this guy in perfect focus, head to tail. I cannot do that very easy.
Excellent macro. Clear detail here. Good job.
