Description
As you most certainly know, the Netherlands are a densly crowded country. Nature... real nature.. nature without any human influence is not to be found here. This also goes for our woods.. The influence of human beings is everywhere. Also in the woods I am showing you today.. how.. well... what you see here are mainly beech trees. They make a habbit of growing right up in the air. But these ones are bended. It is caused by men.. in this woods they used the straight beech trees for timber etc.. the bended stayed.. The results.. well.. I think you can imagine that.

beautiful shades of green ! would love to be there for a walk
I agree with Mary. I sure wouldnt mind walking Eija in that wood either. Looks lovely. I didnt know the Netherlands lacked untouched nature, such a shame. Theres nothing like entering a thick old forest that hasnt been touched. Quite a magical feeling. #:O)
Superb exposure, the shade and the sunlight work so well together.
What a wonderful name for this wooded area. Thank you for the phtoto and the information about the history of the area, so appealing and appreciated. HUGS!!
Great eye for shapes and lighting, looks like a wonderful place to dance just for the joy of it:):):):))
Your intro provided a fascinating insight into the title. But it's hard for me to imagine since I live in a place still blessed with lots of wild scenery. Often, Lori and I are the only people at the waterfalls we visit! Solitude seems to go well with natural beauty tho - the experience can be almost spiritual. Thanks for the wonderful post and commentary.
