"Nights, I dream about a perfect place. Days, I dive by the wreck. Nights, I swim in the blue lagoon. Full fathom five thy father lies. Of his bones are coral made. Those are pearls that were his eyes. Nothing of him that doth fade. But that suffers a sea change. Into something rich and strange. And I alone am left to tell the tale." -lyrics from Blue Lagoon by Laurie Anderson
Another Chihuly "monster" rises serpentine from beneath calm waters from the exhibit at Fairchild Garden. I am not sure why I decided to go with these lyrics and this title, but it popped into my head and would not go away. ;o] ----- Thanks for your multifarious comments on my last upload, Tangled.

Hey now! Where is Brooke? Or more importantly, where is Brookes body double? Hehe, I kid! Love how you captured the wonderful way the (Glass?) leaves echo the natural leave! And the blue compliments the blue of the water!! Framing this vertically enhances the elegance of these lovely plants, both artificial and natural!!
Wow.. really beautiful. Amazing light.
Very decorative. Wish I could hear you sing the song. Fly over my friend. Aloha

A striking image! Beautiful sculpture blending with nature. And the verse is really creepy. Oh, how I love creepy. Well done!
I have never heard that song, but the lyrics sure are beautiful. As is your photo. What does it for me, even more than the blue cobras coming up there, is that dark water. Its almost black. And it casts such great reflections too. Have a wunderbar day Kort! #:O)
Artifice It is the artifice of New Bedford for whalers' wives to probe the sea for menfolk gone, and many dead. Once there were Yankees and Portugees here, sea-faring cannibals from Fiji allied in oil and cod, with women indifferent to corpses at funerals. It is the artifice of New Bedford for whalers' wives to probe the sea for menfolk gone, and some return. Once there were Achaeans and Danaans here, sea-faring bandits allied in plunder and death, with wives indifferent to corpses on the bier. It is the artifice of New Bedford for whalers' wives to probe Homer for the many crafted mind that returns....
splendid composition
