Description

This was an exercise in post work. It's mostly based on the game "Destroy All Humans." and maybe a "reimagining of the 80s miniseries "V". Im not sure I just wanted to do it for a while now. There were many hours of painting and pasting on this project. I decided to do it after seeing the tutorial in 3D World a few months back on creating a war zone image, I just wanted a different twist on it. There will be more in this series in time. I hope you enjoy it. And as always, constructive feedback is much appreciated. Thanks, X

The building of left makes too artificial and it is too clean! The fire of the building of the bottom is good but smoke should be blacker in height on the other hand the fire of the building of the foreground is not large enough and smoke should be more epaisse. The saucer is surpostoo much! Goodwork!

Building on the left is a real building comprised of pieces of a demolished structure but I agree it needs more burnishing and weathering. Thanks :)

Very well done! It's suitably grim and foreboding.

Thank you all for the kind words and contructive feedback on this project. The next one will be a bit darker, so you have been warned. BTW the ship will be a free model soon if I find some time to texture it out. Thanks again, X

It's true that some buildings are'nt destroyed at all, whereas some others are. However, folks, we know nothing about the way that this kind of destruction works, therefore Remember a painful past, with the destruction of the Twin Towers, also some war images of 1944-45, Iraq, Afghanistan etc It would be interesting to have the steps towards this painting, but anyway it's a great success.
