Description
A gate in northern France. I'm told there used to be a castle of sorts in this location long ago, but no trace of it remains beyond this gate which is in rather remarkably good condition. I wish I could learn more about this location, what the building(s) looked like in their prime, what occured (most likely the war) that made it so that they no longer exist at all...

The Road To Nowhere! Beautiful :)
Ahh, the stories to be told, but, alas, the fickle finger of fate writes and moves on, and where it moves, we know not where.
If only the gates could talk! Great photo!
Well seen and well captured, Stefanie ! I like this kind of pictures, full of history and emotions... :~)
How strange and intriguing. It is a rather handsome gate so I guess would have belonged to quite a substantial building. Well found and captured - a gate with a hidden secret :)
wow, realy fantastic, super!!!
